When running APad after installing the first time, the top of display will look like this:
Note that the two labels at the top display values of '0' (zero). Before use you will have to configure them as follows:
Tap on either the J:x or Ch:x label to open the configuration panel - it does not matter which one you tap.
Tap on the appropriate Judge number button and check that the change is displayed above the judge number buttons. Make sure you do not have two devices set to the same judge number and same channel number!
The valid channel numbers are 1, 2 and 3. Channel 0 (zero) will disable the device which can be useful if you need to replace the device with another. The normal channel is 1 but if you are running simultaneous events or circuit events, each event or station has to use a different channel. In the unlikely event that you are doing shadow judging you must use channel 3.
Tap on the channel number you plan to use and check that the change is displayed as expected.
When you have set the correct judge number and/or channel, tap the OK button to return to the main display which will now show your settings. These settings will be remembered across sessions and upgrades until you next change them as described above.
You may cancel your changes to the judge or channel by tapping the back button/icon instead of the OK button
Tap on the Language name to see a list of available languages. Scroll if necessary to find and tap on your language then tap OK to select it or Cancel to close the list without making a selection.
Note that each judge can select their preferred language without affecting the others.
