My Details

 

The first thing you will need to do is enter your personal details and some information about your local club.  

 

You only have to enter this the first time you use the app or if you later change your email address or club membership, so please enter the information carefully and accurately.

 

From the Home page, tap the [My Details] button to display your Personal profile.

Follow the hints to enter your name, year of birth and tick the Female checkbox if appropriate.

 

Note: There has been a long term bug in some versions of Android or some devices which may cause the Virtual Keyboard to replace the first character entered into an Edit box by the second character entered.  If you find this happens to you you can 'fix' it by tapping the back-space icon on first entering the Edit box before then entering your text, or by entering the first letter twice.

 

Please make sure you enter your email address accurately because it will be used to send you an email confirmation when your dive sheets are successfully sent.  If you do not have your own email address, you can use a family email address or your trainer's address, but you should ask for their permission and the confirmation email will be sent to that address.  Also note that the Meet Secretariat (Chief Recorder) may use that email address to contact you if there is some problem with your dive sheet(s).

 

Next you will see the item "ASCII Name".  In most cases the app will complete that for you.  It is a 'plain English' version of your name which is needed by some equipment that is not able to display text from certain languages.  If your name is not converted properly, or not at all, simply enter your 'plain English' name as it would appear in your Passport.

 

Continue to enter the name and code of your local diving club, your Federation Registration number, and the name of your home club trainer.

 

If you are not sure about any of this information, please ask at your club.  It is important for results and other purposes, that you get this information correct.  For example, if you spell the name of your club incorrectly, any points you score for 'best team' will be added to a team with your spelling and not to the correct one!

 

Use the 'Back' icon to return to the Home page.

 

Synchro Partner(s)

 

If you dive in synchro events, please tap the [Synchro Partner] button and enter your partner's details in the same way as described above, except that you do not have to enter their email address.

 

At this time, only one synchro partner is supported.  If you have different partners for different events such as 3m, platform or Mixed you have the following options:

Send a separate file for each partner, after changing the partner details.

Use the same partner for all synchro events, but then email the Secretariat contact to ask them to change the partner(s)

If possible, arrange with your partners so that each of you only has to send one synchro dive sheet.
